XLIM SQ Pod Kit – Stylish, Compact, and Flavour-Packed
The OXVA XLIM SQ is one of four devices in the XLIM family. The XLIM SQ, which is square in design in contrast to its siblings, has several features in common with the original XLIM. The airflow control slider is the same as what is seen on the XLIM, and it utilizes the same V2 pods. The coils are already integrated into these pods, which can store up to 2ml of e-liquid.
The OXVA Xlim SQ is a true pocket rocket, but there is one significant difference between it and its predecessors: its shape. The OXVA is a little device that unexpectedly has a nice battery and a robust build all things considered. It is obviously supposed to be a refillable looking version of the Elf Bar Lost Mary BM600. The SQ's built-in 900mAh battery allows for comfortable all-day smoking. It can also be recharged exceptionally quickly thanks to Type-C charging. With this battery, you may get an output of up to 25W, which is a lot for such a compact gadget. With this output, you can use the device's side-mounted adjustable airflow to produce both a mouth-to-lung (MTL) and a restricted direct-to-lung (RDTL) approach. The SQ is an auto draw device, meaning there are no buttons to activate it, you simply inhale and go just like a disposable.
The pod is the same as the OXVA Xlim SE version and the V2 pods which is handy if you’re switching between any of these devices. Of course as per TPD regulation, the pod is a 2ml e-liquid capacity and refillable on the side of the pod with a silicone stopper.

The XLIM SQ is a small, adorable, and stylish pod device. Nine colors are offered, including four gradients and five solid colors. A color known as "Purple Black" that transitions from dark purple near the top to black nearer the bottom. It has a really great matte paint job with just a little of metallic gloss.
The XLIM SQ is not a tall pen shape like other XLIM devices. As it is the XLIM Square, it makes perfect sense. The XLIM SQ's edges and sides also have rounded corners. I can simply stow the device in my small palms while holding it. However, since the airflow control slider is on the side of the device and becomes blocked if you grip it too tightly, you can't vape it in this manner. Whatever the case, the device is incredibly compact and lightweight at only 44g.
One side is printed the OXVA logo, and on the other is printed XLIM SQ. There is a little round LED right next to the OXVA logo. Depending on your battery level, this LED will either be green, blue, or red when you inhale. The XLIM SQ produces a predetermined wattage that is different for each pod rather than wattage that may be adjusted.
On the top of the device, next to where the pod sits, there’s a black plastic piece with a carbon-fiber-sequel pattern.
The airflow control slider may be found on the side of the XLIM SQ, to sum up. It resembles the ones on the XLIM and XLIM C exactly. It contains three ventilation holes, each of which gets narrower as you move near the slider's bottom. The slider is stable and holds its position. And it's well constructed. You can move the slider up to constrict the airflow or down to increase it.
A lanyard is provided in the box, and it can be attached to the top corner of the XLIM SQ. The lanyard that is provided is a chain-style lanyard. The XLIM SQ is kept safe and always within reach, and it is a nice weight to wrap around my neck without being very cumbersome.
The SQ is a dependable little device that feels and weighs like metal because it is composed of an aluminum alloy. It doesn't feel cheap to handle, much like the OXVA Xlim SE, and for those of you who are more clumsy vapers, it might even withstand a (small) crash to the ground. The magnetic pod has a strong magnetism, so there is no concern that it may separate and fly off in your pocket. It won't likely shift up and down when you don't want it to because of how tightly the airflow is.
The XLIM SQ makes use of XLIM V2 pods, same as their XLIM and XLIM SE devices. Since the coils in these pods are integrated, they cannot be used with the XLIM C, which uses pods that accept replaceable coils.
Included with the XLIM SQ are two pods: one XLIM V2 Cartridge (0.6Ω) and one XLIM V2 Cartridge (0.8Ω). The XLIM SQ will output 22W with the 0.6Ω pod and 16W with the 0.8Ω pod. There’s also a 1.2Ω pod available that is sold separately.
- 0.6 Ohm – Rated for 20-25 watts.
- 0.8 Ohm – Rated for 12-16 watts.
- 1.2 Ohm – Rated for 10-12 watts.
Pods securely latch onto the XLIM SQ and are kept there by two strong magnets. I've never had the device fall out of my pocket or bag with the pod inside.Holding these pods up to the light makes it simpler to tell how much e-liquid is still inside of them because they have a light tinge to them. They have a lovely, rounded, slanted mouthpiece that makes them comfortable to use.
The pods can be side-filled through a port on the side of the pod with up to 2ml of e-liquid. You must take the pod out of the device in order to fill it because the fill port is near the bottom of the pod. The rubber plug is detachable but secure enough to keep the entire supply of e-liquid inside. Using either large 100ml bottles or little 30ml bottles, I had no issue filling.
Overall, these pods provide nothing new. The XLIM V2 pods still work just as well as when they were included with the XLIM. You can switch between the pods because they are the identical V2 versions that were used on the earlier Xlim kits.
Although the XLIM SQ is smaller and more portable than the other members of the XLIM family, it still includes the same 900mAh battery. For the size of the device, that battery size is appropriate. If you don't vape excessively, a single charge should last you for a few days. To be safe, the SQ will probably need to be charged daily if you frequently haul.
The Type-C charging speed for the XLIM SQ is 1A. The XLIM SQ's charging connector is on the bottom, therefore you must lay it flat to charge it. With a dead battery, it takes 45 minutes to fully recharge, but the XLIM charges back to the green battery LED range (65%+) in shorter time. Therefore, if you really need to charge it, it can be done in less than 30 minutes and still have adequate battery life for at least a few hours of vaping.
Battery LED color:
- Red: Less than 30%
- Blue: 30-65%
- Green: More than 65%
A great feature is the airflow adjustment slider on the side of the square device to set the airflow to your preference. An LED indicator is provided to keep you up to date with device and battery status.
If you leave the airflow slider open, then you’ll get a very loose MTL draw with this pod. Closing the airflow down makes the draw tighter and tighter until it gets to a tight MTL draw when it’s almost fully closed.
The OXVA Xlim SQ is a mouth-to-lung device with a narrow mouthpiece on the cartridges. This does a good job of simulating the experience of smoking a traditional cigarette. I believed that converting to MTL would make the vaping experience less enjoyable because I often vape direct to lung, but the OXVA Xlim SQ offers a significant hit for its size, so this was never a problem.
The kit features a buttonless inhalation feature that makes it simple to vape while on the go. Although I haven't used an auto inhale kit in a while, I believe that it is the best option now that technology has advanced. Particularly when you're in the middle of anything, it's quick and convenient.
The 0.8Ω pod is very similar to the other pod. The output of this pod is great at 16W once more. Although somewhat less flavorful than the other pod, the flavor is pleasant and there is a surprising amount of vapor for the resistance and wattage. Additionally, this pod produces a loose MTL draw when the airflow is open and a tighter MTL draw when the airflow is reduced.
Both pods have a long shelf life, so you can refill them numerous times before the flavor starts to fade. I've used a lot of pods, but these are some of the longest-lasting. Each one continues to function flawlessly even after being refilled more than ten times without any discernible flavor loss.
The XLIM SQ includes a lanyard with a metal chain. It's a really lovely lanyard, in fact. It is sturdy, attractive, and simple to connect. Like a necklace, the connector has a little raindrop clasp. Therefore, connecting and disconnecting is a breeze.
There are 8 colours to choose from: Gold Blue, Purple Black, Pink Green, Arctic Ice, Pink, Black, Gold and Light Blue.
The XLIM SQ resembles a square version of the XLIM, however it is devoid of a screen and wattage controls. It therefore came as no surprise to me that it functions almost identically. The XLIM SQ outputs the wattage that I believed was appropriate for each pod, despite the fact that you cannot change the wattage for each pod.
I experimented with a 6mg freebase e-juice in 70VG and a 30mg salt in 60VG for the 0.6 pod. With both e-juices, this pod's 22W output provides an excellent vaping experience. The draw is robust and has a lot of "oomph" thanks to the salts. Due to the freebase e-juice's decreased nicotine dosage, the pull isn't as punchy, but it still gives a pleasant vape with some kick. This pod's flavor is powerful and robust; therefore, I have nothing to complain about.
In conclusion, OXVA's XLIM SQ is yet another top-notch pod vapes. The XLIM, a fantastic device, is so identical to this one that I would have been shocked if it behaved very differently. Actually, the XLIM SQ is essentially a V2 pod-using device with a new shape. As there is no wattage adjustment, it is also simpler to use. Simply insert a pod and start vaping. Both pods have great flavor and a fairly long shelf life.
Both the XLIM and the XLIM SQ are excellent choices if you're trying to decide between them. The XLIM SQ is simpler to use and more user-friendly for beginners, whereas the XLIM offers more precise control over the wattage you choose to vape at. Otherwise, the flavor and airflow from the SQ are the same. Personally, if given the choice between the two, I would choose the XLIM SQ because I think it has a nicer design and I like the square shape better.
