Aspire recently introduced a variety of Pod devices, including the Favostix, Flexus, Vilter, Riil, and, most recently, the Gotek. The latest pod product line is called "Cyber" and includes the "S", "G", and specifically the "X" version object of this test, is the most recent pod product. This time the company has created a new, more refined and squared shape, allowing us to clearly see the details of each component inside the Mod and the level of liquid that is still in the cartridge. The Aspire Cyber X has a futuristic design made of a combination of transparent plastic and aluminium alloy, and it feels extremely solid and lavish in appearance. The Cyber X futuristic design is interesting and allows you to see the pod, battery and board through the device. Recently, many gadgets have adopted this aesthetic, and I truly appreciate what Aspire achieved in this case. This tiny device fits easily in almost any pocket and is incredibly portable and easy to handle and operate.
The front of the device is made of a clear plastic that allows you to see everything inside. There is an indented “X” shape with a circle in the middle for your thumb or finger to rest on. To the right of the pod and board you can see the 1000mAh battery, which is wrapped in a super futuristic sleeve, featuring a holographic design.
An ergonomically designed duck-billed drip tip crafted to perfectly correspond to the shape of the human lips.
Much like the plastic panel, the metal back panel features the same indented “X” shape with a circular indent made for your thumb or finger. This makes the device even more comfortable to hold. Inside the “X” shaped lines there are four elongated LED lights that light up when the device is being used and when it is charging. This iconic LED indicator on the front make your vaping life more stylish.
Through the plastic shell you can see the bottom portion of the pod which allows you to clearly see your ejuice level even when it is almost done. This is very useful and allows you to track your ejuice level so you don’t unnecessarily burn out your coil. To fill the pods you simply remove the rubber plug to access the fill port, then fill up and securely close. I had no issues filling these pods.
The Cyber X pods both able to hold up to 3ml of ejuice. They do sell a TPD version that holds up to 2ml of ejuice for those in the EU.
Types of Coil:
The Cyber X comes with two coils: one 0.8Ω (in a 3.0 ml refillable pod) that comes pre-installed and additional pod comes with a 1.0Ω (in a 3.0 ml refillable pod).
Since this device includes a pod with a 0.8Ω and another with a 1.0Ω, you have the option of vaping 50VG/50PG and 70VG/30PG E-liquids. We recommend vaping 70VG/30PG E-liquids with the 0.8Ω coil and 50VG/50PG E-liquids with the 1.0Ω coil, with 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω coils you can switch between mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung vaping styles.
The Cyber X does not come with an adjustable airflow control, however there are two options for airflow with this device. Simply by turning the pod 180° you can achieve either a loose MTL draw or a tight MTL draw. If you prefer a loose MTL draw ensure that the pod is installed with the coil resistance visible from the clear panel. For a tight MTL draw the coil resistance should not be visible through the panel.
The pods feature airflow holes on both sides, allowing you to turn the pod 180° to change between a MTL draw to a RDL draw vaping experience according to your preferences, thanks to the new and improved vaping technology, you can get totally different airflow intake by changing the insertion direction of the pod.
When the pod is inserted into the device, there is a slight wiggle when you are trying to move it back and forth. However, while using the device, I didn’t notice any movement.
One of the main features of the Aspire Cyber X is that there are three different drawing options. You can use the power button to select between auto-draw, button only, or both button and auto-drawing.
When you press the fire button three times to switch to your favorite activation mode, the corresponding indicator will light up in white for 3s to indicate that the operation is successful, two LED lights, which are located on the board, will light up. These LEDs are visible through the front clear panel. Pressing the button will toggle between the three different options:
- Both LED lights: Both button and auto-draw vaping are enabled.
- Top LED only: Only draw activated vaping is enabled. Button activation will not work.
- Bottom LED only: Only button activated vaping is enabled. Draw activation will not work.
The Aspire Cyber X uses replaceable pods that have the coil preinstalled, no need to fuss over having to change a coil. This is especially great for newer vapers.
The Cyber X comes with two pods, a 0.8Ω pod and a 1.0Ω pod. The pods are completely clear and have no tint to them at all. This allows you to see your ejuice level without issue. The pod connects to the device using magnets and is very secure once installed.
The Aspire Cyber X has the largest battery of the three Cyber devices that have been released thus far. The 1000mAh battery is likely to get you more than two days of heavy vaping. Lighter vapers can expect to get several days of vaping without needing to recharge. Plus, thanks to its constant output, you wont need to recharge daily just to keep the output strong enough to get a satisfying draw.
The LED light on the metal panel of the device will light up each time you take a draw. It will light up in one of three colors to let you know where your battery level is at. These are:
- Green: 60-100%
- Blue: 30-60%
- Red: Less than 30%
The Cyber X is the right vape that built-in long-lasting 1000 mAh battery to maximize your vaping fun with enough stamina, it’ll last several hours before having to recharge. It’s perfect for anyone who is always on the go.
This device is sleek and stylish, and it’s available in several different color options to choose from, Pearl Silver, Coral Orange, Frost Blue, Sage Green, Gunmetal and Flax Yellow.
In Conclusion, when it comes to performance I can confidently say that the Aspire Cyber X is up there among the best of the best. The strong, warm, and consistent draw is something that I really like, and that is all thanks to the constant output of 3.5V.
Both pods give you the option of experiencing the draw that you prefer, whether it be a tight MTL draw or a loose MTL draw. I did not find too much of a difference between the two pods, with a little bit of a stronger hit off the 0.8Ω pod than that of the 1.0Ω pod. I found that both airflow settings were enjoyable to use, however I personally preferred the loose MTL draw. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference there is between the two different airflows. Each airflow mode is quite different and that’s nice to see from such a simple airflow system.
The flavor from the pods are exceptional, even after refilling them multiple times. The coils are excellent and deliver great flavor and a warm draw. I did not have any leaking with the pods, even when I had the device sitting overnight or laying on its side to charge. This is perfect for new vapers or experienced users who want a small kit to keep on hand.
When the device is completely dead the LED will flash red to let you know it is time to recharge. When that time comes, the battery is rechargeable using Type-C 2A charging which will get you fully charged in about an hour to refuel the battery up to 100%.
The bottom of the device is clear as well and is where you can find the Type-C charging port. As the charging port is on the bottom of the device you will have to lay it down to charge. The Cyber X does allow pass-thru charging so you won’t be without a device when it’s time to recharge.
